Sweet Lemonade, one of my favourite drinks and now one of my favourite Louella DeVille collections!
Spring is the best time of year (September especially) and a lot of my style and clothing is really influenced by it. Sweet Lemonade is truly a spring collection with amazing colours and a print that nails the season’s essence. In the cute pink lemon print comes the Bettie skirt which of course is a pin up staple with its gathered full circle skirt, perfect waist band and secret pockets. Seriously love my Bettie skirts, whether you’re after a casual day look or want to dress them up with a nice top for date night or even party look, it’s just right. I can’t get enough of them and this print is just so perfect with it, seriously can’t wait to wear this one with all the pink!
The next item in the pink lemon print is the Tabbitha blouse to match perfectly. I love matching sets like these, you can either wear them together as a dress or have them apart for multiple looks. Super cute and stylish but also good on the budget. Seriously! It’s like getting three outfit possibilities for the price of two items! The pussy bow on the Tabbitha is just too cute, as someone who quite often struggles with accessorising outfits, bows like these make their own statement and it doesn’t matter if I don’t add a necklace to my outfit. Add to the fact the Tabitha is such a good fit, it’s an awesome piece to have.
There’s also a new Lola top colour way which I am so here for! I live in my pink Lola all the time (let alone the 3 other colours I have of it) especially with my Annie Jeans, I’m guilty of wearing this combo a lot! But I feel like this new blue has the potential to take over as my favourite Lola. Super vibrant and playful, it will stand out with what ever I can pair it with. Plus, as an added bonus it’s my husband’s favourite colour, I know I don’t have to wear what makes him happy but I love to see him smile when I wear things I know he’ll love. He’ll probably tell me I could do a Super girl inspired outfit with it and I reckon I might give that a crack!
Also I now have my Ekka outfit sorted with the new Lurlene colourway as well, so cute and playful! I seriously can’t wait to run amok in the showgrounds, going on all the rides and eating a strawberry Sunday (maybe a Dagwood dog or two as well) in this Jump skirt. I’ll probably pair it with the Tabitha and loads of pink, maybe some sensible flats since I’ll be walking all day but either way it’s just right for that essential Brisbane day out. It’ll be thick enough in the chilly morning and night with a cardi but not too hot when the Brisbane sun is fully out throughout the day.
So as I said before I love matching sets, I mustn’t be the only one! Now out is the palm print sandy wrap to go with the palm print Maria skirt and the Senorita sandy wrap top to go with the senorita Bettie Skirt. These prints will work either in spring or summer and with the sets will look effortlessly put together. The adjustable tie straps mean even in the warmer weather you can be styled to pin up perfection! I will probably wear the palm combo together all summer with some cute bamboo jewellery and thick wedges.
Leopard print really is a neutral and the leopard print sheer Tabitha is no exception. For a super corporate look, you could pair it with a black wiggle skirt or to make it more fun, pair it with the red Bettie skirt. I love that it’s sexy and sheer but not showing so much that I can’t wear it outside without being paranoid. It’s all about balance, right? So pretty much, I’m in love with all the new collection with my favourites being the new sweet lemonade print, the blue Lola and the new Lurlene. It’s making me wish winter was over already!
My fave part about this collection is that you can mix & match all the pieces with new and existing prints & styles already in the Louella DeVille range - talk about great value! <3 Miss Imy La Fleur xoxo
